What Happens When Republican Leaders Forgot Where They Came From?

On October 8th, former President Donald Trump shared a platform with Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama), among others. Tuberville, a former college football coach used his time to speak against reparations. At that rally, to a crowd of primarily white attendees Tuberville stated the following, “They (Democrats) want crime because they wanna take over what you got. They want to control what you have. They want reparation because they think the people that do the crime are owed that. Bullshit! They are not owed that.” The left leaning media has rightly condemned Tuberville’s comments as racist and, specifically, anti-Black American. In this, the Left is right, and the Right has forgotten its proper place as the leader of reparatory actions for American Freedmen.

Now, if Tuberville was speaking of the ridiculous notion that illegals should get reparations, then I agree. However, a read of the full transcript of his speech suggests he was talking about policing and Black Americans.
