So, You’re Not “Race Obsessed?”
--
Well, what the hell ARE you thinking?
Thoughts about race/racism add up.
The average person has about 70,000 thoughts each day.
Some have more.
Some have less.
What were people thinking to make them hate MLK??
When he was assassinated in 1968, Martin Luther King, Jr was one of the most hated men in America … hated by citizens and his own government.
During MLK’s THIRTEEN years in the civil rights movement, the average American individual had 332,150,000 thoughts. (70k thoughts per day X 4745 days in 13 years).
How does THREE HUNDRED MILLION thoughts still result in someone hating a peace preacher?
Four years prior to his murder, 31% of Americans DID NOT APPROVE of the civil rights act of 1964.
Ten percent were undecided.
HOW did the hundreds of millions of individual thoughts of FOUR of ten people lead them to be uncertain of or reject the notion of justice in the heat of lynching and Negro segregation.
Thirty one percent of American adults OUTRIGHT DISAPPROVED of the civil rights act of 1964. (THAT’S A LOT‼️)
If we assume that half of the 190,895,000 population in 1964 were adults…that’s 30,789,516 disapproving American adults.
Let’s assume those who disapproved were all 25 years old at the time of the poll…that’s 178,850,000 thoughts per individual from age 18–25. But they weren’t all young adults. Some of those polled were aged and a disapproving mindset also affected their children and grandchildren.
