Their concept of equity is not held together very well. Rather than thinking Black and other non white people “can’t hang/compete,” I would suggest they actually think Black and some other non white people have had to over compete, historically. They likely argue that Black and other non white people are now due a reprieve from having to work extra hard … for bearing the burdens of discrimination on top of just trying to make it in life.
