Wow! Just seeing this in my feed! I’m from Mississippi and wrote a piece about this last week! I meant Grandpappy as an insult but it is what those folks called their racist sires. Confederate-like thinking is all across the country! One the Left and the Right. It’s an ingrained belief system. Flying the flag is just flaunting it.
